Downloads settings

Open Settings → App → Downloads to see everything Echo is downloading or has downloaded on this device — transcription models, cleanup languages, voices, and other resources. The tab appears when at least one download exists in its history and disappears when the list is empty.

Queue sections

Downloads are grouped into In progress, Queued, and Finished. Each row shows its progress and exposes the actions that make sense for its state: Pause and Resume, Cancel, Retry after a failure, Force to restart a stuck transfer, Remove to drop it from the list, and Details.

Scheduler

The Concurrent downloads setting controls how many transfers may run at the same time. Downloads also retry on their own with a bounded backoff before they surface a failure, so a flaky connection usually heals without intervention.

Priorities

Each queued download can be assigned a Priority — Low, Normal, or High — which decides what starts first when a slot frees up. Give the model you want to dictate with today a high priority and let large archives wait at low.

Details and cleanup

Details opens the transfer record: source URL, destination path, queue/start/finish timestamps, and the error history with retry counts. Clear finished removes completed rows from the list; it does not delete the downloaded files. Removing a downloaded model itself is done from its panel — for transcription models under Transcription.
